About

The term “frontline workers” often represent doctors, other health care professionals and soldiers. But during the coronavirus outbreak, workers across a vast array of industries have been seen to be essential parts of the machine that keeps the world in motion, required to do their jobs despite great risk—whether grocery store clerk, or bus drivers, delivery person, mental health counselors or police officers.

Essential workers on the front-lines of the battle against the Coronavirus pandemic do not have the privilege of being able to “stay at home” or telecommute for their job or maintain social distancing. They must actually be in direct contact with people in order to do their job. Even after recognizing that it is a dangerous occupation, these men and women who serve and are getting infected and in some cases dying from this disease are the true heroes of this pandemic, and we need to make sure they are taken care of.

We should collectively make every effort to ensure that these front-line warriors have access to the resources and equipment necessary to protect them from incurring this death-dealing disease and at minimum extend our gratitude and support to show that you appreciate all their sacrifices.

They are there for us, so we must be there for them
